Tree Planted In Honor Of 9/11 Victim Survives Southbury Tornado

A Southbury family planted the tree in order to honor their son.

SOUTHBURY, CT — A tree planted in memory of Patricia Schielke's son, Sean, 27, who was killed in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks survived last week's tornado, the Republican-American reports. The Japanese Red Maple was planted on Horse Fence Hill Road as a tribute to Sean.
