Wall Protest Held In Southbury Monday: Report

Reaction to protestors was mixed.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Despite cold temps, about 30 local residents met on the green and held signs in opposition to President Trump's emergency declaration that the U.S. must build a wall along the border.

The Southbury event was part of a MoveOn.Org protest that was held across the country on President's Day, the Republican-American reports.

Participants said it was important to make a public statement that they oppose Trump's policies. Some people beeped their horns in support of the protestors, while some pro-Trump supporters took issue with the protest and yelled back at them, the Rep-Am reports.
