Woman Transported to Hospital After Southbury Rollover Accident

State police are on the scene of a rollover accident on I-84 in Southbury this evening.

According to state police from Troop ‘A’ in Southbury, the accident occurred just before exit 16 on I-84 West shortly after 5 p.m.

A 23-year-old female, whose car reportedly rolled over several times during the accident, has been transported to Waterbury Hospital. Police are classifying the injuries as minor.

The woman was removed from the vehicle quickly by on-scene personnel and extrication was not needed, according to Southbury Firefighter Lieutenant Jason Decremer.

Traffic in the area is running smoothly as of 6:30 p.m., according to the traffic map in the Southbury Patch Commute Section.
