Women's New Moon Event to be Held in Southbury

Rosh Chodesh Women & Identity to be held Monday, June 3 at the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Community Function Hall, 444 Main St. N., Southbury

SOUTHBURY, CT -- The Jewish Federation of Western CT is hosting a very special women's event in June, "Rosh Chodesh Women & Identity." Rosh Chodesh, the first day of every month in the Hebrew calendar, is marked by the birth of the new moon. Not only is it a time of spiritual renewal, it has also blossomed into a celebration of women and femininity.

Rosh Chodesh Women & Identity will be held on Monday, June 3, 2019, from 6-9:00 p.m. at the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Community Function Hall, 444 Main St. North, Southbury, Connecticut.

This event is led by Rabbi Ilana Garber and catered by Sanctuary Kitchen of New Haven. Rabbi Ilana Garber is a a rabbi, educator, wife, mother, Conservative Jew and feminist. She spends her days at Beth El Temple in West Hartford, CT, and her nights and weekends parenting two boys (one with Fragile X Syndrome) and blogging about her experiences.
