According to police, Robinson's pickup truck struck the rear of Delaney's motorcycle, causing both vehicles to continue into the intersection, where several other vehicles became involved in the crash.

Delaney suffered serious injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

A second driver was also taken to a hospital with minor injuries, police said.

Following the investigation, police obtained arrest warrants for both Robinson and Delaney.

Robinson was taken into custody Monday, June 8, and charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, false statement, reckless driving, and following too closely with intent to harass or intimidate.

Police said Robinson was held on a court-set bond of $200,000 and was scheduled to appear in New Britain Superior Court on June 11.

Delaney turned himself in at the Southington Police Department on Wednesday, June 10.

He was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, failure to insure a private motor vehicle, failure to drive in the proper lane, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
