On Feb. 15, at 8:10 a.m., officers were dispatched to Nyren’s of New England, 456 North Main St., on a report that the business had been burglarized sometime overnight, police said.

Police said it appeared someone had broken into the building by prying open a window.

The cash register inside the building was pried open and there was approx. $70 to $80 missing, police said.

Investigators collected DNA samples from the scene which were later found to be linked to Crapo, police said. Items damaged during the burglary included a broken window frame and a cash register, police said.
