Added Charge for Southington School Tech Assistant
The prosecution and defense are arguing their sides in a school assault case.

SOUTHINGTON — A part-time technology assistant with the school system now faces a felony assault charge after the prosecutor raised the charge, but her lawyer is fighting it, the Record-Journal reported.
Melinda Chantea Fisher, 30, of Wallingford, was arrested in April 2016 and charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace, both misdemeanors. See the full account here.
She had entered not guilty pleas to both charges, court records indicate.
