SOUTHINGTON, CT — "Bread for Life" is recruiting volunteers for a series of summer programs aimed at addressing food insecurity and supporting residents.
The Southington-based nonprofit announced opportunities tied to its annual Summer Lunch Program, which provides meals to youth in the community and at local camps, as well as work in its community garden, where volunteers help grow produce used in meals.
Organizers said the programs are open to a wide range of participants, including students seeking to fulfill community service requirements and residents looking to contribute during the summer months.
