A bear was spotted near Southington High School Friday afternoon.
The bear was seen on Pleasant Street around 2:30 p.m., according to the Record-Journal. It ran into the woods and hasn’t been found.
Walkers will remain at the school until parents pick them up or police secure the area. Bus drivers have also been alerted.
