Southington Schools Remember Longtime SHS Yearbook Advisor
Theresa O'Connor died of cancer last month, taught at Southington High and was school's longtime yearbook advisor prior to her retirement.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — For many in the Southington community, there's a good chance retired teacher Theresa O'Connor played a role in their personal symbols of high school immortality — their yearbook photo.
For years, O'Connor was the advisor to Southington High School's yearbook class, always helping the students create that permanent record that freezes students in their youth forever.
She retired from teaching in 2011 and moved to Westbrook shortly thereafter. She died on Sept. 22 of this year at 73.
