Established in 2000, Mobile Foodshare delivers perishable food items, including highly nutritious fruits and vegetables, to residents of low income neighborhoods. By working with a network of community partners – including food
pantries, community kitchens and shelters – Foodshare is able to provide millions of pounds of fresh produce to struggling families throughout the Greater Hartford area.

"Summer donations are down and we need to do all we can to help Foodshare feed the hungry. Many working poor families will rely on school nutrition programs to help feed their children, but because school is out - many kids are going with out. This mobile foodshare pantry can help those families now," said Senator Markley.
