Crash Now Cleared On Southington Highway: Update

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Interstate 84 was a mess in Southington Wednesday afternoon after a two-vehicle accident backed up traffic, but the crash has now been cleared.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the accident was on I-84 east between exits 30 and 31.

As result, the right lane is closed on the highway, according to the DOT.

The accident was first reported at 3:14 p.m. and it was reported "cleared" by the DOT at 4:13 p.m.
