Update: Southington Crash On I-84 Cleared

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A single-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 east in Southington put a slight damper on holiday weekend traffic Friday afternoon, but it was cleared after more than an hour.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the crash happened at about 3:14 p.m. between exits 30 and 31.

According to the DOT's Twitter feed, the crash was cleared by 4:22 p.m.

It had resulted in the closure of the right lane, DOT officials said.
