Fallen Tree Closes Busy Southington Road
Crews are working to clear the tree Wednesday morning.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Local police Wednesday morning announced that a section of a busy local street is closed due to a tree falling in the roadway.
The Southington Police Department said a small section of East Street will be temporarily closed due to a tree in the roadway.
Police said a utility crew is "actively working to remove the hazard."

The roadway will be temporarily closed between Kensington and Hamilton avenues.
Police said those attending Camp Sloper Wednesday can access through the Hamilton Avenue access point.

"Please use Meriden Avenue or Savage Street to travel to that entrance point," wrote police.
