Four Prominent Southington High Alums Added To 'Wall Of Honor'

The school system is hosting a special induction ceremony on Thursday, May 4, at Southington High School.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Four Southington High School graduates will receive the highest honor that can be bestowed upon SHS alumni at a special ceremony Thursday, May 4.

The Southington school system is hosting a brief ceremony at 6 p.m. that day at Southington High School, 720 Pleasant St., in the auditorium.

It is open to the public.

The Southington High School Wall of Honor Committee has chosen four to be 2023 Wall of Honor recipients: Stephen McCarty; Edward Pocock, Jr.; Edward Pocock III; and James Wallace.

The Wall of Honor display showcases Southington school graduates who have outstanding community service, accomplished noteworthy career or lifetime achievements, participated in humanitarian work or received significant awards.

Recently, the school remodeled and moved the "Wall of Honor," giving it a new look and place of prominence in the high school building.
