Fugitive Arrested In Southington After Pursuit
A wanted man was taken into custody in Southington on Thursday.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A wanted man was taken into custody in Southington on Thursday.
At 11:55 a.m. Thursday, Southington dispatchers received a call from bail enforcement agents who were attempting to apprehend Dajauhn Correa, age 24, of Bristol, police said. Bail agents reported they were in the area of 309 Meriden Waterbury Road, following a vehicle occupied by Correa, according to a report.
Bail agents and police officers conveeged on the vehicle on Rahlene Drive, and Correa exited the vehicle and fled on foot, according to a report. Southington police then set up a perimeter, assisted by Cheshire police, and a canine team tracked Correa to the area of Country Club Road, where he was taken into custody without incident, a report says.

Correa was charged with interfering with an officer, breach of peace and trespassing. He was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond.
At the time of this incident Correa had an outstanding warrants out of Watertown, Meriden, and Bristol.

According to the state judicial system website, a rearrest warrant was issued for him out of Watertown in March. He had been free on a $100,000 bond on gun and drug charges.
