Cosenza said the 18-year-old's father "was a spectacular father and spouse."

According to Cosenza, life hasn't been easy for the Chevalier family.

"I have witnessed Karen do all she could to give these boys the best lives, many times sacrificing for herself and I am so incredibly proud of her," Cosenza said of Chevalier's mother.

According to Cosenza, Joshua Chevalier's death was only four days before his 19th birthday.

"My sister and my nephews have been through too much," she said. "I imagine this is the most challenging thing for a single mother of three to do and I want to help her in any way I know."
