Hall/Southington to Face Rinkmates In Hockey Opener
The co-op team will be facing a very familiar rival in opening round Division II tournament play Tuesday.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Technically, the Hall-Southington co-op boys ice hockey team will open the Division II state tournament on the road, but the only traveling required will be to the visitor's bench at the Veterans Memorial Rink in West Hartford.
The 13th-seeded Warrior Knights face rinkmates and No. 4 seed Conard in the opening round Tuesday at 8:10 p.m. The teams skated to a 1-1 tie on Feb. 24, a game marred by a devastating injury suffered by Hall-Southington captain Drew Booth.
A total of 14 teams from Patch towns in Hartford and Tolland counties will be competing in the three state tournaments. Here is a complete listing of opening round matchups for those teams; click the division headers for complete brackets.
