Health Care Worker Charged With 'Intercepting' Credit Card
Police arrested a care worker on a warrant.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A home health worker us accused of stealing a client's credit card and going on a spending spree over the winter, police said.
On Saturday, Jessica Hayes, 35, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for sixth-degree larceny, criminal impersonation, the illegal use of a credit card, receiving stolen goods from the use of a stolen credit card and credit card theft, police said.
Hayes was working as a home caregiver and intercepted a client's new credit card in the mail, police said.

Hayes then used the credit card 11 times between late-November and mid-February to make purchases and ATM withdrawals for cash advances in the amount of $582.81 at multiple different stores, police said.
Hayes was held over the weekend on a $1,000 bond was to appear in court on Monday, police said.
