Update: I-84 Crash In Southington Cleared

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Interstate 84 in Southington was backed up on the eastbound side Thursday morning following a crash involving an overturned vehicle that is now cleared.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the accident near Exit 30 (Marion Avenue) was cleared by 6:43 a.m. Thursday.

The DOT said the crash was between exits 28 and 30, with traffic backed up 2 miles to the area between exits 30 and 31.

It had also closed the right and center lanes of the highway, according to the DOT.

The accident was reported at about 6:16 a.m.
