'Serious' Injuries Reported In Southington Crash
Single-vehicle wreck reported on eastbound side of Interstate 84.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — Interstate 84 eastbound was closed in Southington following a serious crash late Saturday morning, though state police are now reporting one lane of traffic was opened at about 12:30 p.m.
According to the state Department of Transportation, the single-vehicle accident happened at about 11:51 a.m. between exits 30 and 31.
WFSB Channel 3 is reporting a vehicle simply drove off the road and serious injuries have been reported, with Life Star helicopter called.

According to the BreakingNow Twitter feed, a car is into the woods with one victim ejected and another trapped, with the trapped person not breathing.
The Connecticut State Police via its Twitter feed is asking motorists to use another route and to avoid the area, calling it a "serious injury" accident.
