Joseph Cipollini, Longtime Southington Educator, Dies at 62
He taught in the science and gifted programs.

SOUTHINGTON, CT - Joseph Cipollini, a longtime educator in the Southington school system, died on Tuesday.
He was 62.

Joseph George Cipollini, of Southington, Connecticut passed away April 19, 2016 at the age of 62.
Joseph was born March 13, 1954 in New Haven, Connecticut to Joan Panico Cipollini and the late Rudy Cipollini.

He grew up in North Haven, Connecticut and graduated from North Haven High School in 1972.
He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Southern Connecticut State University in 1977 and a sixth year in gifted education from UConn.
He spent his career in Southington Public Schools as a teacher of sciences and gifted education.
Joe is survived by his mother, Joan Cipollini of East Haven, CT; daughter, Sarah Jo Cipollini of Southington, CT; stepchildren Holland Gistelli of Napa, CA and Scott Gistelli of Southington, CT; sisters Diane Cipollini-Cotter and her husband, Marc of Hilo, HI; Donna Bousquet and her husband, Omer of Irasburg, VT; Debbie Morcaldi and her husband, Ed of North Haven, CT; and brother Jeff Cipollini and his wife, Laurie of North Haven, CT. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, North Haven, CT on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 9:00 AM-11:30 AM with services to follow.
