Major Sewer Refurb To Resume In Southington

Motorists and residents are being warned that sewer pipe maintenance work will start back up again Dec. 27-29.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Southington's ongoing sewer makeover continues after the holidays, with motorists being warned that a pipe maintenance project will take place Dec. 27-29.

The Town of Southington is rehabilitating sewer mains throughout town using cured-in-place pipelining, which creates a smooth seal inside the pipes and secures all connections, mitigating leaks in the process.

The work has been contracted out to Green Mountain Pipeline Services of Bethel, VT.
