
SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Derby man remains in custody nearly a week after being arrested and charged in a pair of Southington restaurant theft cases.
A second man is being held in thew case, police said.
On Feb 9, Justin Fennelly, 20 of Derby, surrendered at the Derby Police Department after learning of two active warrants for his arrest from Southington police.

Fennelly was transported to Southington Police Headquarters for booking and processing, was held on a $50,000 bond for each warrant and appeared in the Bristol Superior Court on Feb. 10, police said.
The first warrant stemmed from a burglary investigation that took place on or about June 28 at the Cava Restaurant, 615 West St. in Southington, police said.

The warrant charged Fennelly with third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree, third-degree criminal Mischief and conspiracy to commit criminal mischief in the third degree, police said.
On June 28, at about 7:30 a.m. the Southington Police Department received a report of a burglary at the
Cava Restaurant, police said.
Officers discovered forced entry was made into the business and surveillance video showed that
three males pulled up in a white minivan and forced their way through a window and a rear door, police said.
Approximately $150 in cash was taken from cash registers along with two bottles of Vodka valued at $20 each, police said.
The second warrant stemmed from a burglary investigation that took place on or about June 28 at Kizl’s Restaurant, 2014 West St. in Southington, police said.
The warrant charged Fennelly with third-degree burglary and a related conspiracy, third-degree criminal mischief and a related conspiracy. in the 3rd Degree and Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Mischief in the 3rd
At 10:43 p.m. on June 28, Southington Police received a report of Commercial Alarm activation at
Kizl's Restaurant. The alarm company reported the alarm was coming from the rear, entry door. Officers found the rear door located on the north side of the building had been forced open, police said.
Upon checking the interior of the building, an interior door which led to the
kitchen showed signs of an attempted forced entry, police said.
It did not appear that entry was made into the interior of the restaurant area. Restaurant employees responded and confirmed nothing was missing from within the restaurant, police said.
On Jan 26, Jahlmar Cintron, 20 of Hartford, was arrested via warrant for his alleged involvement in the burglary at the Cava Restaurant, police said.
Cintron was charged with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and third-degree criminal mischief with related conspiracies, police said.
Cintron was processed and held on a court set bond of $50,000, police said.
Two warrants on a third suspect are scheduled to be served on March 7 in Bristol Superior Court, police said.
