Update: Southington Crash Cleared On I-84

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Interstate 84 in Southington appeared to be a parking lot after a multi-vehicle crash jammed rush-hour traffic late Friday afternoon, but it has, since, been cleared.

According to the state Department of Transportation, I-84 west was impacted, with traffic backed up at least 6.2 miles.

DOT officials said the crash happened at 3:17 p.m. on I-84 west between exits 31 and 30, resulting in the left and center lanes being closed.

According to the DOT's Twitter feed, the crash scene was finally cleared by 4:30 p.m. Friday.
