Oil Truck Overturns In Southington

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A truck carrying home heating oil overturned in Southington Thursday morning.

The crash at the intersection of Sunnybrook Hill and West Street was reported at about 10:30 a.m.

Southington police, Southington firefighters and a crew from the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection were at the scene. Police said the truck was the only vehicle involved and a small amount of oil spilled onto the road.

West Street was expected to be closed from Jude Lane to Mill Street for several hours along with Crissy Lane at Sunnybrook Hill, police said.
