Overtuned Trailer Now Cleared In Southington: Update
The crash had closed the highway Wednesday afternoon.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A trailer being towed by a vehicle overturned on Interstate 84 in Southington Wednesday afternoon, causing traffic nightmares for travelers, according to the state Department of Transportation and state police.
But police said at about 2:35 p.m. Wednesday that the scene was cleared and the highway was reopened after being closed.
The DOT reports the single-vehicle crash happened between exits 31 and 32, initially resulting in only one lane being open to traffic, later resulting in the highway being completely closed there.

This caused a 2.1-mile traffic backup on the highway as crews worked to clear the scene.
According to the DOT, the crash was reported at 12:49 p.m.

Connecticut State Police posted via Twitter at about 1:20 p.m. that the highway was shut down at Exit 32 for a "trailer rollover" with minor injuries reported.
