The handgun was seized by the officer and traced back to Kimmel, according to a news release.

Kimmel told police she became ill while at the restaurant and went into the restroom.

While in the restroom, she left the handgun on the paper dispenser so it would not fall on the floor, police said. She told police she left the restaurant to get some fresh air and then went home forgetting she left the handgun on the paper dispenser, according to a news release.
