Road Closed After Water Main Breaks In Southington: PD

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A local roadway is closed Wednesday morning due to multiple water main breaks, Southington police reported.

According to the Southington Police Department, Jude Lane is closed between Mount Vernon Road and Pine Drive due to the situtation.

Police said three different water main breaks were reported on Jude Lane and the Southington Water Department is working to rectify the issue.

Also, Autumn Drive and Walkley Drive will also not be accessible to roadway traffic.

Police said a detour has been set up to steer motorists away from the scene and get in and out of the Walkley Drive neighborhood.

That setup, police said, takes drivers from Autumn Drive to Winter Park Road to Potomic Lane to Washington Drive.

"This detour is only in place to access Walkley Drive," police said.
