Road Work Causing Ongoing Delays in Southington

An ongoing construction project will cause delays over the next several weeks, police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — An ongoing construction project on Curtiss Street at the intersections of Hart and Kane streets will cause delays over the next several weeks, police said.

Motorists can expect delays, lane closures and detours in the area and police on Monday were urging motorists to seek alternate routes.

Detours will be in effect daily between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. and there will be signs in place to direct motorists around the detour, police said.

The traffic pattern in the area will return to normal at the end of each work day, police said.

Traffic will be detoured onto Hart Street and residents of Riverside Court will need to turn left onto Curtiss St. when exiting the neighborhood, police said.
