Section Of Southington Road Turned Into Outside Dining Area
A commercial section of Southington has been transformed into a dining area.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — On Thursday, the portion of Center Street in Southington between numbers 129 and 148 was closed to allow for outside dining. That's the area of the road between the Groggy Frog Cafe and Paul Gregory's.
Police have placed sarricades with signs in the vicinity explaining that the road is closed and that the businesses are open.
Detours are in place, police said.

The municipal lot on Center Street next to Paul Gregory's and the Sons of Italy lot are both accessible from the Center Street and High Street intersection, police said.
The setup is expected to remain in place for the next month in an effort to help ares businesses reopen, police said.
