Southington 2025 Transfer Station Passes Expire; 2026 Permits Available

Special Saturday hours starting this weekend will be offered in April to help folks get their 2026 permits.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Residents in Southington will need to renew their transfer station permits after 2025 passes expired on March 31, town officials said.

New 2026 passes are now available at the Southington Tax Collector’s Office at Southington Town Hall, 75 Main St.

Regular office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Thursdays.

Officials said residents who have not yet renewed and are turned away at the transfer station will have additional opportunities this month.

Special Saturday hours will be offered April 11 and April 18 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Southington Highway and Parks Department, 1 Della Bitta Drive, in the Plantsville section of town.

To obtain a pass, residents must present a valid driver’s license and vehicle registration.

The town also noted a limit of six oversize trailer passes per household.
