Southington Expects to Save $50k By Not Filling Highway Position

The highway superintendent position will not be filled and duties will be split-up.

Southington officials expect to save at least $50,000 a year by not filling the recently-vacated town high superintendet position.

Outgoing superintendent Steve Wlodkowski retired, according to the Hartford Courant.

Town Engineer Keith Hayden will become public works director and an assistant town engineer would be promoted under Town Manager Garry Brumback’s plan.
