Southington High School Marching Band Places First in State
Congratulations to the Blue Knights!

Southington High School placed second at the USBands New England State Championship over the weekend and will go on to compete in large competitions throughout the country.
The band placed second overall and first in the state with a score of 91.475, said Eileen Kochol, SHS Band Backers. The band also won the visual category. They have previously placed fifth in national competition.
Next up for the Blue Knights is The Preview of Champions show on Nov. 8 at Cheshire High School and the US Bands National Championship on Nov. 15 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
