Southington Massage Therapist Is Charged with Sexual Assault

Police say the suspect is accused of assaulting a patron of a therapeutic massage business.

A massage therapist has been arrested on a charge he sexually assaulted a patron of the Southington business where he worked in August.

Southington Police said Wednesday that they obtained an arrest warrant for David Kingsbury, 48, of Southington, charging him with second-degree sexual assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Kingsbury, who worked at the Healing Hands and Body Works Therapeutic Massage on Queen Street, was arrested about 6:45 p.m. Oct. 9, according to police.

Police said that it was in August “when he allegedly sexually assaulted the victim. At the time of the assault, the Victim was a patron of the business.”

Kingsbury posted a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at the Bristol Court on Oct. 19.

Police said the arrest warrant was sealed at the time of Kingsbury’s arrest and that further details will not be released.
