Southington Parents Plan Suit Over Bus Service Denial
A group of Kennedy Middle School parents said the route their children must travel is dangerous on foot.
A group of Kennedy Middle School parents are planning a class action suit after the Board of Education ending bus service for a group of students who live 1.5 miles from the school.
Some parents said that West Main and Summer streets have fast-traveling vehicles, commercial loading zones and other hazards, according to the Record-Journal.
The board didn’t agree and deemed the road safe for student travel because students could use alternative routes if need-be.
