Southington Police Post Detours, Closures For Italian Festival

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The Sons of Italy will hosting the annual Southington Italian-American festival Saturday and Sunday along the lower Center Street area of Southington. The Southington Police Department will be assisting with road closures and providing detours throughout the area.

Center Street will be blocked off at North Liberty/Liberty Street and at High Street with barricades and a police officer at each location. The detour will be in effect for:

  • Saturday from 3 to 11 p.m.
  • Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • No vehicle traffic will be allowed on Center Street between Liberty, North Liberty Street, and High Streets. The detour route will be designated no parking beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday.

The following roadways will be posted no parking during the event:
