Southington Police Seeking Man Who Attacked Donut Shop Employee
The victim suffered injuries to her face and head during an early morning attack on Aug. 5, according to police.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Police are seeking information to help identify a suspect who attacked a Dunkin Donuts employee and attempted to steal her car keys in the early morning hours of Aug. 5.
Around 4:06 a.m. on that date, police were called to the West Street store after it was reported an employee had been assaulted by an unknown man attempting to take her vehicle keys. The man had fled on foot prior to officers' arrival, Lt. Keith Egan said.
The victim was found to have suffered injuries to her face and head, including a laceration to her nose and eye, with significant bruising and swelling. She was taken to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment, Egan said.

The victim and a witness both told police she was lured outside the locked business after being told her vehicle’s door was open. Another employee inside witnessed the victim get attacked and immediately called 911, while providing the description and location of the assailant, Egan said.
Police are working to identify the suspect, as the case remains open and has been forwarded to the Southington Police Detective Bureau. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jonathan Lopa at 860-378-1644.
