Cekovsky unexpectedly lost her mother in 2014 to Multiple Myeloma. Searching for a way to honor her mother, Cekovsky "stumbled" across the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation several years back, more recently finding the Moving Mountains for Multiple Myeloma program. Approaching the five-year anniversary of her mother’s death, Cekovsky is eager to take on Patagonia with a group of people inspired by the same mission of finding a cure for Multiple Myeloma.
