Route 10 Closed In Southington Due To Wake: UPDATE

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Route 10 in Southington is closed due to facilitate traffic associated with the wake of a fallen state trooper from Southington who died in the line of duty last week.

The state Department of Transportation said the state highway is closed between Flanders Street and Berlin Avenue, according to the DOT.

The situation was first reported at 8:47 a.m. and it is "unknown" when the roadway will reopen.

A large amount of traffic is expected for the calling hours of Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier, who was struck and killed on I-84 in Southington while making a traffic stop.
