Successful Summer Reading Program Concludes At Southington Library

The town's library announced the eighth and final set of winners this summer.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The Southington Public Library's summer reading program is officially over and, while summer isn't done, the library's main summer event is.

The program concluded Aug. 11, with the library this week announcing the eighth and final winner of the program.

It started back on June 19 after the school system broke for the summer and continued until last week.

With three separate divisions (children, teens and adults) no age democraphic was left out of the library's summer reading program prizes.

Basically, program participants were rewarded for the books they read during that time period and qualified for drawings of top prizes.

Among those prizes were Six Flags New England tickets, a video game system and others.

Monday, the library announced the final winner of the program.
