Suspected Heroin Dealer Caught in Southington

Police say they had obtained arrest warrants for the man who is accused of making three drug sales earlier this year.

A Southington man remains in custody following his arrest this week on charges he sold heroin in town earlier this year.

According to a police report, it was back in April that Southington Police made three “controlled purchases of heroin” from the suspect. Based upon that evidence, police obtained three arrest warrants, each charging Norman Fritz Jr., 30, with sale of narcotics.

Then about 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, Southington patrol officers and detectives conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle that Fritz was a passenger in, according to police. Fritz was taken into custody without incident and brought to police headquarters where officers found to have suspected heroin in his wallet, according to police.
