SUV Hits Bridge Abutment In Southington
The driver of a sport utility vehicle was seriously hurt in a crash Sunday in Southington, police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A sport utility vehicle crashed into a bridge abutment Sunday in Southington, police said.
The crash took place at 5:45 p.m. in the area of Canal Street and Atwater Street, police said.
Police said that an SUV with a single occupant was traveling north on Canal Street when it traveled off the road and struck a bridge abutment.

The driver, later identified as 59-year-old Jeffrey Lee, of Southington, suffered serious injuries and was transported He was listed in critical condition Monday morning, police said.
