Tractor-Trailer Crash Finally Cleared On I-84: UPDATE

PLAINVILLE, CT — A multi-vehicle wreck involving a tractor-trailer caused major traffic headaches for Interstate 84 motorists for much of the day, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The DOT reports the truck collided with two other vehicles on I-84 West in Plainville between exits 35 and 33 late Wednesday morning, initially resulting in the three left lanes being closed.

Later in the afternoon, a 3:15 p.m. DOT update indicated a single, left lane was still closed.

The crash was first reported at 10:41 a.m. and it was finally reported "cleared" between 4 and 5 p.m.
