'Tumbling' Truck Hits Pole, Trash Bins, Mailboxes In Southington
The driver of a pickup truck was hurt in a serious crash in Southington Monday night.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The driver of a pickup truck was seriously hurt after a crash in Southington Monday night, police said.
The crash took place on the 500 block of Meriden Avenue at 8:52 p.m., police said.
Police said an initial investigation revealed that a Dodge Ram was traveling southbound on Meriden Avenue in the area of the curve near Lewis Farms. The truck veered off the east side of the road and hit a utility pole, mailboxes and garbage bins and then began to tumble in a southerly direction, police said.

The truck eventually came to a stop in the northbound lane of Meriden Avenue near Strawberry Lane, police said.
The operator and sole occupant of the truck, identified as 55-year-old Edward Miron, was transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries and was in the intensive care unit Tuesday morning, according to a report.
