NEWINGTON – Taking medications correctly – whether prescription or over-the counter – can be perplexing. Taken incorrectly can cause complications or even dangerous problems. With the proper knowledge, it is possible to get the most from all medications while staying safe in the process. A free program, “Understanding the Complexities of Medication,” will be held Tuesday, July 2, 1 p.m., at Newington Senior and Disabled Center, 120 Cedar St. Presenter will be Addolorata Ciccone, PharmD, BCGP, geriatric pharmacist at Jefferson House, program sponsor.
