Vehicle Blaze Cleared In Southington: UPDATE
The fire had shut down one lane of the highway, slowing traffic.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — A vehicle fire on Interstate 84 in Southington caused some traffic headaches for afternoon motorists, according to the state Department of Transportation, but it is now cleared.
The DOT reports the fire was on I-84 West between exits 29 and 27.
As a result, the right lane of the highway was closed to traffic, according to the DOT.

The situation was first reported at 3:17 p.m. and it is now no longer being listed on the DOT's incident report.
