Vehicle Blaze Cleared In Southington: UPDATE

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Interstate 84 traffic in Southington was slowed Thursday afternoon due to a vehicle fire, according to the state Department of Transportation, but the scene is now cleared.

The DOT reports the vehicle fire was on I-84 East between exits 30 and 31.

As a result, the right lane of the highway was closed as crews tended to the scene.

The fire was first reported at 2:47 p.m. and it is now no longer listed on the DOT's incident report.
