Voters to Decide if Southington Should Keep $2 Million on Hand for Open Space
Some say it will allow the town to compete against developers when land becomes available.

Voters will have the chance to decide whether the town keep $2 million on hand for open space that is potentially up for grabs.
There is no specific property in mind, but the town wants to know if voters would be willing to have $2 million on hand to buy property that could make for good open space, according to the Record-Journal.
The reserve would help the town compete against developers, said John Leary, Board of Finance Chairman.
