Update: Water Main Break In Southington Repaired

Traffic at Main and Queen streets was impacted Friday morning with repairs taking most of the day. No issues expected Saturday.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A water main break at the intersection of Queen and Spring streets has been repaired and all closed roads are reopened.

According to an updated Facebook post by the Southington Police Water Department Saturday morning, both streets and the intersection are now open and "no traffic concerns are anticipated."

Spring Street was closed at the intersection and traffic cones were utilized to divert traffic from the scene.

The Southington Water Department had crews on site most of the day fixing the problem, which did affect water service.

Police first posted information about the situation on Facebook prior to 9 a.m. Friday.
